As the world becomes more interconnected, a broader view is useful. I'm a generalist in that my experience spans disparate disciplines from Art to Engineering as well as different time periods, including pre internet. This broad perspective allows one to see relationships, navigate uncertainties, provide context, in a sea of conflicting data.
This photo shows the problem with Redbud trees. They're so sparse, that the flowers don't hardly show up. Perhaps a "bollard" style pruning would make it more visible in bloom, but is bound to look hideous in leaf.
