As the world becomes more interconnected, a broader view is useful.
I'm a generalist. My experience spans disparate disciplines from Art to Engineering and different time periods, (including pre-internet). This broad perspective allows one to see relationships, navigate uncertainties, provide context, in a sea of conflicting data.
This photo shows the problem with Redbud trees. They're so sparse, that the flowers don't hardly show up. Perhaps a "bollard" style pruning would make it more visible in bloom, but is bound to look hideous in leaf.
